Privacy Policy

The short version: Vinely keeps everything on your device and does not collect, transmit, or sell your data.

Vinely (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a plant-growing companion app. This policy explains how Vinely handles your information.

The data Vinely stores

When you use Vinely, the app stores the following locally on your device only:

The plants you add (crop type, name, and sow date)
Your progress and any tasks you mark as done
Your preferences and settings (such as whether Premium is unlocked)

This information is saved on your device using your device’s standard local storage. It is never sent to us or to any external server, because Vinely has no server and no user accounts.

What Vinely does NOT do

Vinely does not require an account or a login.
Vinely does not collect your name, email address, or any contact details.
Vinely does not track your location.
Vinely does not transmit your plant data, usage, or activity off your device.
Vinely does not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.
Vinely does not include third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Notifications

Vinely can send you reminders and stage updates for your plants. These notifications are scheduled and delivered locally by your device — they are not sent from a server, and no data leaves your device to produce them. You can turn notifications on or off at any time in your device settings.

Subscriptions and purchases

If you choose to subscribe to Vinely Premium, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, not by Vinely directly. Your payment details are handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies — Vinely never sees or stores your payment information. Vinely (via the subscription provider RevenueCat) receives only an anonymous indicator of whether your subscription is active, in order to unlock Premium features. This contains no personal or payment data.

Children’s privacy

Vinely does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. As the app collects no personal data and requires no account, it is suitable for general audiences.

Deleting your data

Because all of your Vinely data lives on your device, you are always in full control of it. To remove everything Vinely has stored, simply delete the app from your device — this permanently removes all locally stored plant data. There is no separate account to close, because none was ever created.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if new features are added. Any changes will be reflected here with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
